Star Publisher will come to train teachers on 9 July 2009 (see previous post). I think, STAR Basic commerce Workbook and e-book will be on sale on the same day by CommHarris (local distributor)

BENGKEL E-BOOK BASIC COMMERCE YEAR 7 BAGI MATA PELAJARAN COMMERCIAL STUDIES (MENENGAH BAWAH)

Dengan penuh hormat dan sukacita dimaklumkan bahawa Jabatan Perkembangan kurikulum akan mengadakan bengkel khusus bagi guru-guru yang mengajar Tahun 7/8 dan yang berkemungkinan akan mengajar mata pelajaran Commercial Studies (menengah bawah) pada tahun 2010.

Antara tujuan bengkel tersebut ialah untuk memberi penerangan tatacara penggunaan e-book dan buku panduan Basic Commerce Year 7. Jadual bengkel tersebut akan diadakan pada:

Tarikh: Khamis, 16 Rejab 1430/ 9 Julai 2009
Tempat: Dewan Utama
Jabatan Perkembangan Kurikulum
Bangunan Baru Kementerian Pendidikan
Brunei Darussalam.
Jam: 2.15 Petang

Sehubungan itu, sukacita dipohonkan kerjasama untuk memaklumkan kepada guru-guru yang berkenaan untuk menghadiri bengkel tersebut pada tarikh dan masa yang telah ditetapkan. Guru-guru juga disarankan supaya akan dapat membawa CD E-BOOK & TEACHER’S RESOURCE BASIC COMMERCE yang telah dibekalkan kesekolah-sekolah. Guru-guru hendaklah membawa Laptop Komputer masing-masing yang mempunyai ‘CD-Rom drive’.


This is because you will need to have a CD Rom drive in order to run the e-book in your laptop. Make sure your laptop is fully charged as there are no power supplies to recharge your Laptop.

LIVEWIRE WRITING BUSINESS PLAN WORKSHOP

Just want to inform you that LiveWIRE will be conducting a 3 session workshop for anybody wishing to know more about writing a business plan. I was wondering whether teacher will be interested. The Facilitator is one of our business plan awards winner. He now has his own IT business training school. So he will be conducting the workshop. Attached is the itinerary for the workshops.

Date : 22nd May 2009 (friday) Session 1,
5th June 2009 (friday) Session 2,
26th June 2009 (friday) Session 3

Time : 8:30am to 11:30am.

Please let all the interested teachers or student knows that this is available for them. There is a fee for this. We are charging minimal charges B$10.00 per person for the complete 3 sessions. It would be good to let us know the number in advance as our training centre is quite limited in space. if necessary we can rent a bigger place to conduct the workshop. Let us know.

LIVEWIRE COMPETITION TALK TO STUDENTS

Good news to students/teachers!

We are inviting a lady (winner from Livewire Business Award 2007) to give a motivational talk to students for the competition. She has also won for HSBC Young Entrepreneur Award in the same year!!!

Thus, we have the pleasure of inviting you (teachers+students)to come & learn from her business plan presentation as part of the Livewire Business Award 2009 briefing to teachers and students for secondary schools. RSVP to 8235459 or call at office 2384333 as seats are limited.

The Briefing will be held in Curriculum Development Department, Conference Hall, Ministry of Education, on 14 May 2009 at 2.15pm.

Her experience and expertise will bring insight to participants and will assist teachers in guiding students to come up with a quality Business Plan.
